In 2022 the statistical number of inquiries to the "Nodus" Neurological & Neurosurgical Rehabilitation Research Centre decreased due to the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. Though, the scope of the medical aid provided to the wounded & traumatised military and volunteer-combatants during the hostilities and the open russian aggression increased.
In the past year our medical team processed 521 inquiries of the patients with neurological and neurosurgical pathology. 109 tailored rehabilitation programs were implemented successfully.
In 2022 75 military and volunteer - combatants with severe traumas received during the hostilities with russia underwent rehabilitation in the framework of the Nodus Charity project.
In the conditions of war we continue to expand our possibilities of providing highly specialized medical aid!

Last year, the team of the center processed 3380 applications from patients with neurological and neurosurgical pathology, 251 programs of individual neurorehabilitation were successfully completed.

In 2016 3173 patients with neurological and neurosurgical disorders were treated, 209 tailored rehabilitation programs successfully completed by patients.
74 soldiers gravely injured in the ATO zone with severe brain, spinal cord traumas, nerves’ and plexuses’ impairment were treated in the framework of the Nodus Charity project. 59 of them underwent rehabilitation free ofcharge, 15 gravely wounded soldiers were offered a 25%discount on the rehabilitation cost. The robotic biofeedback device Armeo Spring (Hocoma, Switzerland) HOCOMA (Switzerland) was successfully used with 8 patients. They had 408 functional hand &arm therapy sessions. One soldier received monotherapy with Armeo Spring, that had to be terminated due to the necessity of repetitive orthopedic surgeries.
14 injured soldiers with purulent septic complications of different localization had 82 treatments withthe ultra-sound wound cavitation technology SÖRING Gmbh (Germany).
Using 3D medical body scanning technology TechMed3D BodyScanner (Canada) a highlyfunctional hand&arm orthosis was made for 1 injured soldier, as required by his tailored rehabilitation program. The most anatomically precise implant of titan was made for another wounded soldier to make a posttraumatic scull defect reconstructive surgery. 12 gravely woundedsoldiers , though not undergoing rehabilitation at Nodus, had post-surgical scull defects 3D scanning as preparatory work before neurosurgical interventions to be made.
All the above mentioned technologies were offered to the soldiers injured in the ATO zone Free of charge in the framework of the non-profit NODUS Charity.
In 2015 3541 patients with neurological and neurosurgical disorders were treated, 217 tailored rehabilitation programs implemented. 61 gravely injured soldiers from the ATO zone were treated in the framework of the NODUS Charity project. 51 wounded soldiers were offered rehabilitation free of charge, 10 soldiers - with 25% discount.
In 2014 3443 patients applied to NODUS for medical care, 209 individual rehabilitation programs were implemented.
10 soldiers ( the ATO participants) were brought back to active life. 8 of them received an innovative rehabilitation gratis.

244 consultations provided, 306 expert diagnostic procedures carried out.

An exceptional performance and constant demand for such highly professional medical care services, provided by our centre, is evident.
