Olexandr T, 27 y.o. , a policeman from Odessa region, in August 2017, while performing his duties, was gravely traumatized in a road accident. The man received a grave TBI, brain contusion with consciousness disorder (Coma 2nd type), ribs and heart contusion. Contusion of the top of the head, the left knee joint. Traumatic shock of the 1st level.
The patient received the first aid and treatment at the place of residence. After he was consulted by NODUSs Director and in September 2017 was admitted to Nodus for further specialized rehabilitation & restorative treatment.

Olexandr received an in-patient specialized neuro-rehabilitation course according to created individual rehabilitation program (IPR)
The following therapies were used:

Hardware verticalization on a verticalization platform with an estimation of the parameters of the main systems

Olexander terminated the in-patient rehabilitation course with positive dynamics:
- consciousness improved from (vegetative state) 1st stage to ІІB (hyperkinetic mutism)close to ІІІB (hyperkinetic mutism with emotional reactions) as per Т.А. Dobrokhotova Scale
- breathing restored
- active movements in the left limbs restored
- the range of active& passive movements in limbs improved with the use of functional individual orthosis
- the patient has been adapted to the vertical position without hemodynamics disorders and vegetative reactions for lengthy periods of time.
