The combat exercises in Brovary finalised the military territorial defense training in 2021.
On September 30, 2021, practical classes were held at several important sites in the city.
Early in the morning the leadership of the territorial defense district and the battalion personnel received initial data from the Operational Command Headquarters: the main administrative building of the city of thousands inhabitants - Brovary District State Administration & Brovary City Council - was under a threat of capture by armed sabotage groups.
At the same time, the Brovary Territorial Community's hotlines received anonymous calls warning of the "mining."
From the Territorial Defense Battalion base, several military groups left for Brovary to resolve the situation as part of the military training.
As in previous cases, the military command splitted the territorial defense fighters into groups to organise the military posts and to patrol streets.
Some instructors, observers and the military made up sabotage groups.
In the center of the city, real "battles" broke out between the territorial defense fighters and the "armed group".
The media and locals witnessed desperate actions on both sides of the "armed conflict".
Police, SBU, security police, rescue service and ambulance were also actively involved in this action. Police captured fake "provocateurs", rescue services neutralized dangerous explosives, and the "ambulance", medics and sanitary service of the battalion acted promptly to help "wounded" soldiers.
All this was happening quickly, with high adrenaline, in "combat-like" conditions.
The territorial defense fighters had to control the situation tightly and swiftly to react to "grenades", "explosive devices", "shootings" by "saboteurs" and other provocations.
Colonel Olexandr Koval, the commander of the military unit of the operational command "North", said that the leadership of the territorial defense district worked well in good cooperation with all the involved, all "saboteurs" and "provocateurs" were handed over to law enforcement units, and "dangerous explosive devices" were disposed of .
After the fighting near the main administrative building of the district, an "alarm signal" was received that new "armed provocateurs" had appeared, so the personnel and emergency units, the police and rescuers - quickly left for another "training site".
The liberation of the captured control point of the Kyiv regional communication networks in Brovary from the "provocateurs" became the final point of the military exercises. Though, the situation was aggravated by the fact that the "criminals" were threatening to blow up the whole territory of the captured important site.
The Territorial Defense Forces managed to enter the building, go upstairs to the main control room and neutralize the "criminals". As in previous locations, the security police worked quickly and professionally.
On October 1, a solemn ceremony of closing the military training will be held on the Territorial Defense Battalion base. The results achieved will be summarised, the celebration and decoration with awards of those deserved ones and a concert for the territorial defense fighters will take place.
