ACHIEVEMENTS of the patient PAVEL (ATO soldier)

Pavel, born in 1990, was traumatized on July 31, 2014 in the ATO zone in Donetsk region, while after a mine blast was pressed by a concrete slab for 3 hours. He got the first aid in Amvrosiivka mobile hospital #61. Afterwards the man was transferred for examination and treatment since August 1, 2014 till October 10, 2014 to the Main Military hospital in Kyiv.

After the stabilization of the general condition, on October 6, 2014 Pavel was admitted to NODUS for free inpatient rehabilitation in the framework of the charitable project on rehabilitation of soldiers and volunteers injured in the ATO zone.

At NODUS the patient received 3 inpatient rehabilitation courses: from 06.10.14 to 14.11.2014, from 15.12.2014 to 16.01.2015, from  24.02.2015 to 24.03.2015.

A program of Individual Rehabilitation (IRP) was created and included specialized daily many-hour hardware kinesiotherapeutic sessions in System Biodex 4 Pro with the left shoulder and left upper extremity – Thera-Vital, TMS, magnetic stimulation, electrostimulation of muscles of the left arm and shoulder, focused exercise therapy with the climbing frame.

Exercise therapy with S-E-T for the restoration of deep muscles of the body and extremities.

Therapeutic rhythmic transcranial & transvertible magnetic stimulation session

The patient successfully completed the inpatient rehabilitation with the following positive results:

  • Strengthen muscles of the left hand allow for self-care of the patient

  • Improved coordination & endurance

  • Improved stereotype of movements of the left hand

  • Decreased pain feelings in the left shoulder and arm

  • Restored the kinematic model of III class movements in the left hand.
